NextGenArden

NextGenArden provides support to young adults who live in Arden, or who have a direct and close connection to the Arden housing scheme in the southside of Glasgow.

We provide grants to help those young adults achieve their ambitions after they have left school.

About NextGenArden

NextGenArden’s grants can be used to support you with the costs of training, going to college or university, starting an apprenticeship or the costs of starting a new job. We may also be able to help you gain practical skills, such as driving lessons, that might help you find a job or apprenticeship.

We are a registered charity established by the former politician and Labour Cabinet Minister, the Rt Hon. Jim Murphy, who grew up in Arden. Funding for the charity comes from Arden Strategies, the company founded by Jim.

We are also proud to have a funding partner the Catherine McInespie Foundation. The McInespie family also grew up in Arden and are committed to supporting young adults from the area. A member of the family also serves as a Trustee of NextGenArden.

We have only one mission – to support young adults in Arden to achieve their ambitions. There are so many great people that live in Arden, or have lived in Arden. The experiences of growing up in the scheme have shaped so many peoples’ lives across the decades.

Would you like to support today’s young people in Arden be all they can be? If you are able to support the charity financially or in other ways, we’d love to hear from you.
